The blueberry season has started! I like to work with seasonal fruits and vegetables. Wat is not only better in taste and quality, but also beneficial for your wallet! (Which is of course always a bonus!)
And you can do so much with it! They are so delicious on their own, but stir them into your yogurt, mix them into a smoothie or milkshake, turn them into pastries, give your salads a sweet touch,…
The blueberry, which is high in antioxidants, contains various vitamins and minerals such as vitamins a, b, c and minerals such as iron and magnesium, which have a blood purifying effect.
On top of that, they are also low in calories too.
Did you know that blueberries were used as a medicine by Native Americans?
Ingredients:
Smoothie:
Half frozen banana.
25 g Frozen mango.
1 handful of blueberries.
2 tbsp Low-fat quark or Greek yogurt.
15 g Vanille protein powder.
Splash of coconut drink.
Splash of coconut milk.
1 tsp (beekeeper) honey.
Small piece of ginger.
Pinch of cinnamon.
Black sesame
Topping:
Finely chopped mint leaves.
Homemade granola (recipe can be found in the blog).
Coconut flakes.
Mango
Directions:
Blend or mix all smoothie ingredients until smooth.
And garnish with the toppings.
A wonderful way to start your day!
