Carbohydrate free and very low fat wontons, yet full of flavor! I steamed these in a bamboo steam basket, but you can use any steam item for this. What if you don't have any steaming item? Place a strainer on a cooking pot filled with a layer of water, put the wontons in the strainer en let them steam. This dish takes some time to make, but it is certainly not difficult!
Ingredients:
Iceberg lettuce of cabbage.
50 g of cucumber
50 g of carrot
1 stalk of spring onion.
7 sprigs of cilantro.
75 g chicken fillet
75 g Peeled shrimps or scampis.
1 sprig of fresh mint.
1 clove of garlic.
Small piece of ginger (+ - 5g)
90 g shiitakes.
100 g Konjac noodles.
Pepper and fish sauce (or salt).
Preparation:
Boil a pot of water.
Carefully remove the outer leaves of the head (6-7 leaves). (If it rips a little, that's okay.) wash them carefully.
Prepare a large bowl of cold water.
Blanch the leaves 1 by 1 in the boiling water until soft.
Scare them in a bowl of cold water and drain on kitchen paper or a towel.
Cut carrot, cucumber, spring onion in equal fine strips and cut the sprigs of coriander right through the middle.
Place chicken, shrimp or scampis, shiitakes, garlic, ginger, mint, pepper and fish sauce or salt in a food processor and chop everything together finely.
Rinse the Konjac noodles well.
Put a little of everything in a lettuce of cabbage leave and roll a firm package.
Place in a steamer basket and steam for 10 min.
(This is allowed in any way, as long as they are steamed)
Eat with sweet and sour sauce.
Ready to enjoy!
